Weekly Report: July 7 to July 13: Missoula & Bonanza Lakes

Missoula & Bonanza Lakes: On Tuesday, Skye & I headed up to the Missoula Lake Campground up Cedar Creek outside of Superior, Mt. Kathy is still loving her job, so still working. Met up with my brother Kelly and his wife Suzy and spent a couple nights there. We all went down to Missoula Lake that evening to let Skye swim while Kelly and Suzy fished. Met 3 backpackers from Plains camped at Missoula Lake, they were finishing out their trip there. The next day Skye & I headed over to the Bonanza Lakes while Kelly and Suzy went into the Lower & Middle Oregon Lakes. The Bonanza Lakes are my most visited lakes; in excess of 50 times over my lifetime, but they never seem to get old. It was really hot making the climb out of the Bonanza's to the stateline trail that afternoon. All in all it was a great couple days with good food and company. FYI: There is an active logging operation about 2 miles from the campground along the main road so be aware of the logging truck traffic up Cedar Creek.
